Jubilation And Appreciation

Jubilation And Appreciation

10 Sept 2017

My day began with joy and thanksgiving.
The joy in my heart comes from my inner child
And thanksgiving arises from this life I’m living.
Since my everyday ego and inner child reconciled,
There’s been an attitudinal and behavioral change.
I no longer have a compulsion for perfection.
I efficiently do my tasks and act to rearrange
My way of doing things and my personal direction.
One day I realized that it doesn’t matter,
How I dress doesn’t matter a lot.
Nobody will remember that stain or splatter.
My chore order isn’t the final upshot.
As long as the final result pleases me
Nitpicking doesn’t matter anymore.
I get to do whatever appeases me
And make the mundane less of a chore.

Mission Permission

Mission Permission
12 March 2016

If I give myself full permission
To do the necessary fun things,
As a part of my personal ambition,
I’ll experience joy so my heart sings.
I need to arrange my say-so
To make sure all systems are go.
No more mediocre, nor so-so;
It’s full speed ahead from the get-go.
Aiming high with personal dispensation
I can achieve anything I want to.
On my authority and authorization
I’ll accomplish what I’m wont to.
Yes, doing what pleases me
Lets my inner child sing.
Even if it means flaunting society,
I’ll have fun doing my thing.

Enjoy Joy

Enjoy Joy
7 March 2016

I have joy, joy, joy in the morning.
It makes me sing, sing, sing my heart out.
I’m telling you all of this as a warning
Because that’s the way my days start out.
I just love feeling fine.
In the morning, I have joy
And true happiness is mine.
Poetry and songs, I employ
To express these strong feelings.
I savor the sense of accomplishment
As I go thru the day’s dealings
And handle them without embellishment.
I’m telling you all of this as a warning
Because that’s the way my days start out.
I have joy, joy, joy in the morning.
It makes me sing, sing, sing my heart out.

Reborn Unicorn

Reborn Unicorn
5 March 2015

Once upon a time there was a little Ducky Waddles
Growing up and following his mother around.
He had fun splashing in all the rain puddles.
While swimming in the pond, his joy was unbound.
Poor Ducky Waddles, those activities
Didn’t prepare him for the troubles
Of aging into puberty’s sensitivities
With all its changes and struggles.
His voice dropped and his quack cracked,
And he noticed other oddities carefully.
His crest and tail feathers, as a matter of fact,
Grew much longer and came in very colorfully.
There was an itch on his forehead
Which he rubbed occasionally.
What a total surprise, instead of a blackhead,
A horn grew there functionally.
Ducky Waddles no longer fit as a name
Now that he had a mane, tail and horn.
He chose to announce and proclaim
That he be known as Quackicorn.

Where Moonbeams Fall

Where Moonbeams Fall
original by Jo Wall
21 Sept 2012

In the soft muted colors of the night,
The ethereal fairy dances in the moonlight,
Scattering glittering stardust in her play.
Serenity and inner joy are reflected
In the lightness of her fairy ballet
And her scintillating radiance is projected
As she dances communing, interconnected,
Perfected with the universe intersected.

Mademoiselle Lorielle

Mademoiselle Lorielle
27 February 2012

There's a smile on my face
And joy fills my heart
Because an event took place,
A new life got it's start.
Lorielle was born this afternoon,
A healthy baby girl at full-term.
For her mother it wasn't too soon.
Of that she was loud and firm.
She was tired of being with child.
Not that the baby was unplanned,
It's just the discomforts piled
Up and inconveniences got out of hand.
Now she can relax and ensure
Her new baby's care and keeping
While dreaming about its future
And drift off to sleeping.

Right Way Overnight Stay

Right Way Overnight Stay
6 February 2012

There's a smile on my face
And joy deep in my heart.
All day thru at my place
My thoughts get a kick start
Recalling to my mind
The recent visit with you.
Lounging around, inclined
To taking our sweet time to
Talk of this or that event,
Letting me acertain
That our time in retirement
Is pure gravy train.
I say thanks again for
The omission of formality
And the pleasant ardor
Of gracious hospitality.
