Guidelines Road Signs

Guidelines Road Signs

27 October 2017

While traveling on vacation,
Anywhere across the nation,
Look for signs high and low
So you know where to go.
Hoping that by using GPS
You’ll avoid getting lost,
And steer clear of any mess
That would add to the cost.
In an unfamiliar location
It’s easy to misinterpret
The guidepost’s indication
And decide the right gambit.
In cities with multiple lanes
Sometimes it’s hard to see
Which way is right and pertains
Or leads to missed opportunity.
One wrong turn and suddenly
You have to get back on track.
The map app helps certainly
When you’re out of whack.
Still it’s a traffic matter
Of being in the right place
So you don’t go splatter
From being in the wrong space.

Vacation Typification

The MP3 music's bopping.
Step on the gas and keep hopping.
Crossing the mountain we aren't stopping
Even tho our ears are popping.
Although it seems to give you pains
To simply switch highway lanes,
We're playing leapfrog by lane swapping.
Past the summit the elevation starts dropping.
Coasting down from the pass
Improves milage and saves gas.
We have to turn and swerve
To make the next curve.
We're going fast, for goodness' sakes,
Before we wreck, hit the brakes!

Visualization Affirmation

Visualization Affirmation

Who’s that handsome dude in the mirror
With a golden earring in his ear?
Life is better this year.
Still wishing for money up to here,
But visualizing crystal clear
Many sources, never fear.
From a product’s premier
Forging ahead in a career.
Also imagining someone dear
Who is loving and near.
Enjoying health and cheer
With many a peer
While traveling from here
Like the jet set tier.

Road Trip Companionship

Road Trip Companionship

27 Sept 2010

He’s no fuddy-duddy,

My traveling buddy.

Good company and pal,

That’s my close friend Al.

He doesn’t pause or hesitate

When I tell him where to navigate.

While he drives, I prize

The time to rest my eyes.

What? Oh, my stars!

He’s yelling at other cars,

Driving like he’s bit chomping

And irritated at brake stomping.

Looking like court jesters

They’re trading hand gestures,

She gave him the bird as she sped by.

A raised a fist was his irritated reply.
